- List each subscription with its price and whether you pay monthly or yearly.
- We convert every line to a monthly and yearly equivalent.
- Optional: enter take-home income to see what share of your paycheck goes to subscriptions.
Formula: Yearly total = sum of (monthly × 12) + yearly plans. Monthly total = yearly total ÷ 12. Income share = monthly total ÷ take-home × 100.
Example
Three subscriptions at $15/mo, $12/mo, and $120/yr equal $37/mo and $444/yr. On a $4,000 take-home paycheck, that is about 0.9% of income.
FAQ
Should I count annual plans as monthly?
Yes for budgeting. Divide the annual price by 12 so you reserve money each month instead of getting surprised once a year.
What counts as a subscription?
Anything that auto-renews: streaming, cloud storage, gym, software, meal kits, and app store memberships. One-off purchases do not belong here.
